Abigail enters her eighth month of life in trumph.
| Here is a short silent film of Abigail leaping to her feet to grab something. It's a bit dark,
but the action is visible and feat captivating. Her mother encourages her to be
successful.

 Leapy Leapy.
| March 7, 2005: Abigail is eight months old today!

Can you believe it?
| As always, Mommy took a ton of photos to mark this milestone occasion.

Here is a cute indoor shot
| A nakey-booty 8 month old

Sweet cheeks!
| Abigail likes to play with things that are not toys. The bigger the thing is, the better, as far as she is concerned.

PU! Mommy's stinky shoe.
| Ella is enjoying the photo op

Abigail and Ella
| Come here, kitty!

Abigail loves the kitties but they can only take so much of the baby love.
| Still hoping that Ella will come over for some pets.

Ella is staying just out of Abigail's reach.
| Abigail doesn't really believe in the props.

They're fun to play with though!
| An adorable close-up!

Teeny little fuzzy head!
| Looks like she is after something.

Trying to get away.
| Using the phone.

Talking with Auntie on speaker phone.
| Sometimes Abigail gets sick of getting her picture taken.

Time for a lunch break!
| Cute girl in a hat.

What a girl!

Keeping her hat on...
| Serious girl in a hat.

Pondering life in general - including why she has to wear the hat.
| Could be an OshKosh ad.

Smiling for the camera
| Notice those cute little toesies.

little piggies
| Now we are done wearing the hat. Usually Abigail takes it right off and throws it down immediatly. She typically does this during a walk when you aren't looking. By the time you notice that it is missing, you will have already walked 5 blocks. The hat is too cute to lose, so usually you have to go running back the way you came in order to find the hat before someone else does. Most of the time, you'll find it right outside the front door.

No more hat!
| Abigail is putting the prop in the hat.

She is very advanced.
| Nursing the blankie - a good sign that she is tired of all the picture taking and ready for a rest.

Puffy little cheeks.
| March 7, 2005: Same day. Getting ready for a bath...

Cute little naked baby.
| Abigail doesn't crawl yet. She either rolls to where she wants to go or her newest thing is the commando crawl - she pulls herself with her forearms and pushes with her toes.

Messy face.
| March 8, 2005: A new day, a new outfit, a new chance to get the kitty!

Come back, kitty!
| Ella usually stays just out of reach, but today she was walking back and forth by Abigail and tickling her with her tail! Abigail loved it.

Abigail and Ella
| Ella is a good sport

Both kitties have accepted Abigail as a part of the family, although grudgingly.
| An artistic pose.

Over the shoulder shot.
| Looking up at Mommy.

Beautiful baby.
| It's a hobby and there's no help for it! Mommy loves taking Abigail's picture!

Another oh-so-sute photo of Abigail.
| What more can be said? She's cute!

Abigail's parents know that she is the cutest in the world and they aren't biased at all!
| Investigating a stick.

| Cute little bean.

Last photo for that day.
| Happy Easter 2005! We celebrated Easter this year by putting cute little bunny ears on Abigail.

Little Teeny Easter Bunny

| Abigail the bunny and Henrietta the kitty.

Henrietta isn't fooled by Abigail's disguise
| Most of the time Abigail had the ears on, she was working to take them off.

She doesn't like this prop too much
| Abigail opens up the Easter present from her Grandmommy. She liked the ribbon the best.

| Abigail plays with the duck from her Grandma and Grandpa. Abigail loves it when the duck talks to her and gives her kisses.

| Easter day, March 27, 2005: Cousin Hannah visited for Easter. She was not too happy that Abigail could get away from her.

"Playing" together
| Two little Easter Bunnies!

It was not easy getting to girls to pose for this picture!
| First the ears, then the sunglasses.

Two cool girls!
| Then the ears AND the sunglasses!

The little ones were not happy about this one!
| Hannah did not mind the ears and sunglassess too much.

She is one cool girl!
| Abigail, being the older cousin, reminded Hannah that the ears and glasses aren't so cool! She helped Hannah get the ears off, pulling the sunglasses off while she was at it!

"Don't be fooled, Cousin! This isn't fun!" says Abigail
| Then, after Abigail had helped her cousin, she was off!

"I'm done with this!" she says
| Easter Day, March 27, 2005: All four of the Smith siblings got together for Easter at our house. My brothers and their lovely wives and Hannah and Meredith and Chris all came over and we cooked and had fun. We took this shot with the timer on the camera. It was a great day! Maybe it will be a new tradition!

All the "kids!" Back row: Katy, Hannah, Trevor, Nicole (with baby Ethan on the way), and Gavin. Front row: Chris, Meredith, Kirsten, Travis, and Abigail.
| Another group shot.

I had to squish in because I was the one setting the timer.
| Here's a short movie of Abigail commando crawling. She's a mover.

Headed for mischief.
| April 3, 2005: We went visiting today. We visited Kim Joe (Mommy's teaching partner and friend.) Abigail had fun with Skylar and Shayla and the neighbor girls. Here is a picture of Mamas and their baby girls: Kim with Shayla and Mommy and Abigail.

Shayla and Abigail had fun getting to know each other.
