Abigail turns nine months. She goes to the beach and enjoys other activities

  • Abigail tried her first ice cream on a trip to the beach. She loves it.

  • Yum!
  • Here she is skooching around in her stripey outfit. She wore stripes for her nine month birthday.

  • Happy Birthday, Jelly Bean
  • April 7, 2005: She looked so cute, I had to take her picture.

  • Looking out for seals.
  • Here she displays her marvelous post-dinner tum, and a powerful bathtime stance.

  • grrrr
  • Abigail stood on her own (by pulling on a convenient stool) for the first time at great Grandma and Grandpa's house. Her triumph was sweet but doomed, as she toppled soon after it began.

  • Abigail took a break from her physical training for a photo op with her great grandparents.

  • A jolly jelly bean, with some Happy Greats.
  • She loves grabbing at great-grandma's necklace, and being held. Great-grandma doesn't mind too much, either.

  • Grabby monster.
  • Abigail likes the beach. She likes sand, although she has discovered that it doesn't really taste very good.

  • playing at the beach
  • Here is Abigail having a taste of Mommy's push-up ice cream. Yummy!

  • Mmnmm! Ice cream!
  • Here she is anticipating a taste of ice cream.

  • Smiley bean.
  • She's after something.

  • Looking for mischief.
  • Daddy and Abigail are dipping their toes in the water.

  • Abigial is a little worried.
  • What a sleepy, tiny bean! She sleeps on her tummy now with her little bottom in the air.

  • Poor little tired babe.
  • Abigail and her cousin Hannah got to visit each other on April 17, 2005 at their Auntie Nicole's baby shower. They had fun together, as usual.

  • Cousin Hannah learned a new trick! She can sit up now!
  • Here the girls are checking out what is in the grass.

  • What's this stuff?
  • Hannah investigates the grass while Abigail looks on.

  • Still having fun.
  • Abigail takes a nap on her Grandma.

  • Grandma with a sleepy bean.
  • Abigail with Grandma and Grandpa.

  • Picture perfect smiley bunch.
  • May 3, 2005: Abigail discovered the tupperware cabinet today. First, she emptied everything from it!

  • Something new to explore!
  • Then, she leaned in to investigate the cabinet a little more.

  • Hmmm.... What else is in here?
  • She still couldn't quite see everything, so she stood up to see a little closer.

  • Exploring further...
  • She still couldn't quite see the stuff in the back of the cabinet, so she climbed in.

  • What's back here?
  • Then, to see the stuff on the shelf in the back, she had to stand up.

  • Pretty silly
  • Then she was stuck, so Mommy had to "save" her.

  • How do I get out of here?
  • Abigail goes to story time at the Freedom library. It is a program called "Baby Laptime" where babies get go to the library and hear stories, sing songs, and watch felt stories. Abigail likes to take books out of the book basket and play with the toys that are brought out at the end.

  • Here is Abigail playing with the toys with the other kids. You can see the teacher (in white pants) and the other moms in the background.
  • Here is another story time shot. At the end of story time, Heather, the teacher, brought out bubbles which were amazing to Abigail.

  • Abigail likes bubbles.
  • Abigail says, "It is too noisy in here!" At the end of story time, when the toys were brought out and the bubbles were blown, the kids got rather excited and rowdy. Abigail, being the only one who can't walk yet, was a bit overwhelmed.

  • Abigail plugs her ears.
  • This is the only shot I could get with the cute flower head band. Abigail does not go for such nonsense.

  • "Get this thing offa me!" she says
  • I'm including this one because it is a cool photo. It looks like Abigail is throwing grass at the camera!

  • Abigail throws grass.
  • Abigail sees a kitty in the distance.

  • "Come here, kitty!"
  • Abigial peeks from around her daddy's legs.

  • Peek-a-boo!
  • Abigail is now an expert at standing. She can pull herself up and move around a bit and she knows how to sit back down.

  • Hey baby!
  • May 3, 2005: When we put Abigail in her crib to take a nap, she immediately gets up and starts crawling and standing and playing. We can hear her talking and playing in her room for a little while and then she'll just take a little break, where she bends down to nurse her blankie, intending to go back to playing. Here is what usually happens instead!

  • Sweet little sleepy head!
